Abstract

Islamic education is currently facing major challenges in the era of globalization, marked by technological advancements, the rapid flow of information, and shifting cultural values. In this context, Islamic education is expected to preserve Islamic values while adapting to contemporary developments. This paper aims to explore how Islamic education can respond wisely to globalization without losing its core identity. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through literature study, here data is collected through searching for literature library resarch in the form of articles and relevant scientific journals. Data analysis techniques are carried out through content analysis. This study exaines literature related to the impact of globalization on islamic education,including aspects of curriculum, teaching methods, the role of teachers, and the social conditions of students. The findings reveal that although globalization poses risks such as moral degradation and identity crises, it also presents opportunities to enhance Islamic education through learning innovation and broader access to knowledge. Therefore, Islamic education must develop strategies rooted in Qur’anic and Prophetic values that are both holistic and practical. These strategies include character building, integration of science and religion, teacher quality improvement, and contextually relevant, democratic learning methods. With the right approach, Islamic education is expected to produce a generation that excels intellectually, is spiritually grounded, and morally resilient in facing global challenges.
