IMPLEMENTASI SUPERVISI AKADEMIK DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Academic supervision is a strategic instrument for improving teachers’ pedagogical competence, particularly for Islamic Education (PAI) teachers who play a central role in shaping students’ character. This article discusses the implementation of academic supervision as a systematic effort to enhance the quality of PAI learning through professional guidance, continuous mentoring, and performance evaluation. A review of the literature shows that collaboratively designed academic supervision effectively strengthens teachers’ abilities in planning, delivering, and evaluating learning processes. This article emphasizes the importance of humanistic, participatory, and needs-based supervision models to ensure significant and sustainable improvements in teachers’ pedagogical competence.
