PERAN SUPERVISI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN PAI DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA

This study aims to describe the role of supervision in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at the junior high school level. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach by analyzing relevant journals, books, and previous studies. The findings indicate that supervision plays a significant role in enhancing teachers’ abilities, both in planning and implementing learning. Supervision helps teachers improve lesson plans, select appropriate teaching methods and media, and create more active and engaging learning experiences for junior high school students. Furthermore, follow-up supervision has a direct impact on strengthening teachers’ pedagogical competence and improving student learning outcomes, as teachers become more reflective, creative, and responsive to students’ needs. Overall, this study concludes that well-planned, professional, and continuous supervision can significantly improve the quality of PAI learning in junior high schools.
