KRITIK TERHADAP METODE PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB MODERN DALAM PERSPEKTIF USHUL AT-TARBIYAH AL-ISLAMIYAH

The development of Arabic language instruction increasingly relies on communicative methods, task-based learning, and digital technologies that enhance linguistic performance and student engagement. While these approaches demonstrate clear technical effectiveness, many studies note their tendency to overlook the ethical, spiritual, and character-building dimensions central to Ushūl at-Tarbiyah al-Islamiyah. This gap highlights a growing disconnection between functional language proficiency and the holistic aims of Islamic education, which prioritize adab, tazkiyah, and moral exemplarity. Contemporary literature also offers limited epistemological analysis regarding the compatibility of modern pedagogical frameworks with tarbiyah values, underscoring the need for critical reassessment. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach through library research and thematic analysis, this study evaluates the strengths and limitations of CLT, TBLT, e-learning, and microlearning while examining their alignment with Islamic educational principles. The findings emphasize that these methods support linguistic competence but insufficiently foster character formation. To address this, the study proposes an integrative tarbiyah-based model that harmonizes technical efficacy with core moral and spiritual values, offering a holistic direction for Arabic language pedagogy
