Abstract

The Transformation of Islamic education in the era of digital globalization from the perspective of epistemology. Advances in information and communication technology have significantly impacted the education system, including Islamic education, which now faces various challenges and opportunities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, analyzing literature relevant to Islamic education, Islamic epistemology, and the dynamics of digital globalization. The subjects of this research are the concepts of Islamic education and Islamic epistemology as articulated in various scholarly literature, while the object of the research is the relevance of Islamic education in facing the challenges of digital globalization. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation, namely by collecting, reviewing, and examining various written sources such as books, journal articles, and official documents related to the research theme. The results of the study show that Islamic education has great opportunities to develop through the use of digital technology, such as globalization of da'wah, development of learning media, and cross-country scientific collaboration. Technology can be a strategic tool to expand the reach and effectiveness of Islamic education, but its use must remain wise and based on Islamic values.
