PENERAPAN METODE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA TERHADAP NILAI MENOLONG DAN CIRI-CIRI ORANG MUNAFIK DI KELAS IVB SDN SUKAHARJA II

This study aims to improve the understanding of fourth grade students at SDN Sukaharja 2 on the material of the value of helping and the characteristics of hypocrites through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. The background of this study is the low understanding of students on the material of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) related to moral values in everyday life. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method of the Kemmis & McTaggart model which consists of two cycles, each covering the planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test of 20 questions to measure the level of student understanding. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning completeness, namely from 29.04% in the pre-cycle to 74.19% in cycle I, and increasing to 100% in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem-Based Learning method is effective in improving students' understanding of the value of helping and the characteristics of hypocrites.
