Tuturan Adi Hidayat Mengenai Surat Al-Syu’ara Sebagai Surat Pemusik Dalam Perspektif Konteks Makna Firth

: This study aims to discuss Adi Hidayat's speech about Surah Al-Syu'ara as a musician's letter from the perspective of the firth meaning context theory. This study uses a qualitative approach by applying analytical descriptive methods and based on literature studies. . The data analysis technique takes the stages of data inventory, data classification, and data interpretation. The results of this study conclude that Adi Hidayat's speech about Surah Al-Syu'ara as a musician's letter cannot be interpreted textually, because the speech is bound by external elements of language, namely the elements of the context of the situation (siyaq mauqifi). Adi Hidayat's speech about the letter Al-Syu'ara as a musician's letter based on Firth's theory of contextual meaning which was developed into LFS which includes three Meta functions of a language, namely ideational, interpersonal and textual, including: that the letter Al-Syu'ara as a musician's letter is spoken as an effort to explain the picture of Islam to academics and scholars who are able to elaborate between sharia and cultural arts that have become trends in society so that they become something of good value by providing rules, guidelines and signs. As reflected in the case of the revelation of the letter Al-Syu'ara to provide guidelines for the culture of poetry and music in Arab society. Theoretically, this study is useful for adding and expanding insight in understanding Adi Hidayat's idea of poetry as music in the perspective of Firth's contextual meaning. This study recommends that readers understand speech, text and expressions contextually, if textually the meaning of the speech cannot be understood completely. In addition, so that the contextual understanding is based on scientific arguments, it must be based on one approach, one of which is Firth's theory of contextual meaning which can be an option.
