This study investigates the role of digital literacy in improving the quality of learning in the context of Indonesian education, particularly in the era of Society 5.0 and accelerating educational digital transformation. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between digital literacy competencies and learning quality outcomes, identify factors that influence the effective implementation of digital literacy in schools, and formulate strategic recommendations for strengthening digital literacy policies in the national education system. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this study collected data through structured questionnaires administered to 320 teachers and students across secondary schools in Java and Bali, supplemented by in-depth interviews with 18 key informants including school principals, curriculum coordinators, and digital education practitioners. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Findings reveal that digital literacy significantly enhances student engagement, critical thinking, and self-directed learning capacity. However, persistent barriers—including inadequate infrastructure, insufficient teacher training, and socioeconomic disparities—continue to undermine equitable implementation. The study concludes that systemic integration of digital literacy into national curricula, combined with substantial investment in teacher professional development and digital infrastructure, constitutes a prerequisite for meaningful improvement in learning quality across all educational levels.
