NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM KEIMANAN KEPADA MALAIKAT: ANALISIS AYAT DAN HADIS

Abstract

Faith in angels is one of the pillars of faith in Islam and plays a vital role in shaping the personality of a Muslim. However, discussions about angels have often been limited to theological aspects, while the educational values embedded in this belief have received relatively little scholarly attention. This study aims to examine the concept of angels in the Qur'an and Hadith and to identify the Islamic educational values that can be derived from faith in angels. This research employs a library research method by analyzing relevant Qur'anic verses, Hadith, classical and contemporary Qur'anic exegesis (tafsīr), Hadith commentaries (sharḥ al-ḥadīth), and various works of Islamic educational literature. The findings reveal that angels are Allah's creations who are constantly obedient to Him, free from sin, and entrusted with specific duties according to His command. Faith in angels encompasses numerous educational values, including the strengthening of ʿaqīdah (Islamic creed), the development of discipline and responsibility, the cultivation of moral awareness, motivation to seek knowledge, and the enhancement of spirituality through the practice of murāqabah (awareness of Allah's constant supervision) and closeness to Allah. These values are highly relevant to addressing the challenges of contemporary Islamic education, particularly in fostering learners who possess noble character, integrity, and strong spiritual awareness.
