Abstract

Digital transformation has bas significantly influenced various aspects of education, including Islamic Religious Education learning. This article aims to analyze digital transformation in Islamic education throught a literature review focusing on digital literacy and the role of teachers in the digital era. This study employs a qualitative library research approach by analyzing relevant journals, books, and scientific articles. The findings show that digiral literacy has become an essential competency for supporting effective, innovative, and adaptive learning. It enables both teachers and students to acces, evaluate, and utilize digital information responsibly based on islamic values. In addition, digital transformation has changed the role of teachers from information has changed the role of teachers from information providers into facilitators, innovators, motivators, and moral guides in the learning process. This transformation offers oppurtunities to improve learning quality, expand acces to educational resources, and create more flexible learning environments, however, challengs such as limited digital competence, inadequate infrastructure, and ethical issues in digital media use remain significant concerns. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy and integrating technology based on islamic values are necessary to support effective and relevant islamic education learning in the digital era.
