Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. Digital literacy is a crucial competency for students and educators to adapt to the modern technological era. This study examines the transformation of digital literacy in education as an effort to build an Islamic digital culture based on moral values, ethics, and Islamic teachings. Islamic digital culture is defined as the wise and responsible use of technology, in accordance with Islamic principles such as honesty, politeness, and maintaining good manners in interactions in the digital space. The method used in this study is a literature review, analyzing various relevant sources related to digital literacy, Islamic education, and the ethics of technology use. The results of the study indicate that integrating digital literacy with Islamic values ​​can shape the character of students who are not only technologically proficient but also possess spiritual and moral awareness in the use of digital media. Furthermore, the role of educators and the educational environment is key in establishing a healthy and ethical digital ecosystem. Thus, the transformation of digital literacy in education focuses not only on technical skills but also on the formation of an Islamic digital culture capable of facing the challenges of globalization and technological development in a positive and sustainable manner.
