WALI BAND SEBAGAI MEDIA DAKWAH KONTEMPORER : NILAI-NILAI EDUKATIF DAN SPIRITUAL DALAM LAGU “TOBAT MAKSIAT”

Popular music has become one of the effective contemporary da'wah media in conveying Islamic messages to the wider community, especially the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the educational and spiritual values contained in the song "Tobat Maksiat" by Wali Band as a representation of contemporary da'wah. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach. Primary data in the form of "Tobat Maksiat" song lyrics were analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that the song "Tobat Maksiat" contains educational values including: (1) Aqidah Education Values emphasizing the concept of tawhid and Allah's attribute as the Most Forgiving; (2) Moral Education Values encompassing muhasabah (self reflection) and istiqomah (consistency); (3) Social Education Values regarding awareness of sin's impact on the environment; (4) Worship Education Values encouraging increased devotion. The spiritual values include: taubat (repentance), muhasabah (introspection), taqwa (piety), ikhlas (sincerity), tawakal (trust in Allah), and sabar (patience). This song proves effective as a contemporary da'wah medium capable of conveying Islamic messages with a communicative, non-patronizing approach that is relevant to the life context of millennials and Gen Z.
