KONSEP KERASULAN DALAM ISLAM: ANALISIS KOMPARATIF MAZHAB AQIDAHDAN STRATEGI PENGUATAN KEIMANAN PESERTA DIDIK DI ERA MODERN

Abstract

Belief in the prophets and messengers is one of the pillars of faith that occupies a fundamental position in Islamic theology (aqidah). Amid the rapid development of rationalism, secularism, liberalism, and various modern ideologies, the concept of prophethood faces new challenges that require comprehensive examination from both theological and Islamic educational perspectives. This article aims to analyze the concept of prophethood in Islam, examine the comparative views of various schools of Islamic theology regarding the necessity of sending prophets and messengers, explain its relevance in addressing the development of modern thought, and formulate strategies for strengthening students' faith in the concept of prophethood. This study employs a qualitative library research approach. The data were collected from the Qur'an, Hadith, classical Islamic theological texts, and relevant literature on Islamic education. Data were analyzed using content analysis and comparative analysis of the perspectives of different schools of Islamic theology. The findings indicate that all schools of Islamic theology acknowledge the necessity of sending prophets and messengers, although they differ in their understanding of the relationship between reason and divine revelation. Furthermore, the concept of prophethood remains relevant as a theological foundation for addressing the challenges posed by contemporary thought. Strengthening students' faith in the concept of prophethood can be achieved through Qur'an- and Sunnah-based learning, rational and dialogical approaches, emulating the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), contextual learning, the cultivation of Sunnah-based values, the utilization of digital media, and comprehensive assessment covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.
